This modern classic is a take on the Sidecar cocktail, created in 1996 in San Francisco, of course. The cinnamon-sugar rim is the trademark of this spiced rum cocktail.
1 1/2 oz Spiced Rum
3/4 oz Triple Sec or Orange Curacau
1 oz Lemon juice (Fresh)
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
Rim a coupe glass with a cinnamon and sugar blend to your taste. Combine all ingredients and shake. Some recipes call for egg white to give it foam and texture. If you add an egg white for body, shake VERY thoroughly, but I didn’t feel the body would anything extra. Strain into the rimmed coupe and take a ride on the Cable Car.
